Celia is the principal figure and visionary in her design firm—Celia Chu Design. She creates elegantly contemporary hospitality and upscale residential projects with a flair of sophistication and layered richness. Inspired by her passion for art and design, Celia combines practical functionality and her unique expression in design sensibilities to form a holistic approach to all her projects. The finished product is always refined and personalized, with a variety of influences re-imagined to form that signature touch.

Born and raised in Taipei, Celia has always been immersed in the creative arts, and this fascination with art eventually led her to pursue further education in New York City. After graduating from the Parsons School of Design, Celia stayed on in the Big Apple and joined one of the top interior design firms in the world, which marked the beginning of her distinguished career in the world of hospitality design. She has designed many award-winning hotels, restaurants, spas, service apartments and club houses in a wide variety of international locations. Since 2007, after launching her namesake interior design firm in Taipei, Celia has been leading a team of talented design professionals to collaborate with a roster of national and international clients on many prestigious design assignments, including the Ambassador Hotel in Taipei, Hotel Kapok Shenzhen Bay in Shenzhen, China, and several Hyatt brand hotels throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Celia's work has appeared numerous times in many international design publications such as SHOTENKENCHIKU (商店建築), Interior, GQ Taiwan and Modern Decoration.
